Statement of Beliefs

We Believe the Bible is inspired and is the only infallible Word of God. It reveals God’s works of creation, provision, judgment, deliverance, his covenant and his promises.(2 Timothy 3:16-17)

We Believe God is the only true God. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth. (John 4:24) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1)

We Believe Jesus Christ is the Messiah (Christ), the Son of God. Peter confessed: “And we believe and are sure that thou art the Christ, the son of the living God.” (John 6: 69) He was pre-existent with the father. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. (John 1:2-3; John 17:5; Colossians 1:17)

We Believe that Christ suffered for us, leaving us an example that we should follow his steps who knew no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth. (1Peter 2: 21,22)

We Believe He was made to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be the righteousness of God in Him.” (2Corinthians 5:21) We believe He bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.” (1Peter 2:24)

We Believe He died on the Cross and was resurrected. (John 12:27; John 20:11-13; Isaiah 53:3-8; John 20:1-10; 1Corinthians 15:4)  We believe He ascended to His Father. (Luke 24:49-53; Acts 1:6-11) We believe He is our eternal Mediator. (1Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 8:6; 1John 2:1) We believe He is our Savior. “Thou shalt call his name Jesus for he shall save his people from their sins.” (Matthew 1:21) We believe He shall return to earth. (Acts 1:11; Hebrews 10:37; John 14:3)

We Believe that the dead in Christ will rise to begin a new life. (1Thessalonians 4:17-18; 1Corinthians 15:51-58)

We Believe in Water Baptism and Holy Communion (The Lord’s Supper) is a command for believers. Jesus established water baptism as an ordinance when He gave the great Commission (Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:16). It is to be observed as a public declaration of salvation through Jesus Christ and the commemoration of His death, burial, and resurrection in victory over satan, death, hell, and the grave. (Matthew 3:11, 14, 26-29; Luke 22:17-23)

We Believe the Baptism of The Holy Spirit joins us to the body of Christ and actualizes our co-crucifixion with Christ. Being in His body means we are risen with Him to newness of life. (Romans 6:4)

We Believe in Giving/Tithing. “Honor the Lord from your wealth, and from the first of all your produce; so, your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine.” (Proverbs 3:9-10)“A tithe of everything of everything you produce belongs to the Lord; it is holy to the Lord.” (Leviticus 26:30)
